The TRS government in Telangana would be "employee-friendly" and treat them as partners in progress, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said here today.
The employees of the Telangana government would get a 'special Telangana increment' soon as promised earlier and they would get salaries at par with Central government employees, he said.
He was speaking at a gathering of Telangana employees in the Secretariat before taking charge as Chief Minister.
He said the service rules of the employees would be simplified.
Chandrasekhar Rao was sworn-in as the first Chief Minister of Telangana this morning by Governor ESL Narasimhan. Telangana came into existence today as the 29th state of the country.
