During the resumed hearing on Thursday in the ongoing case of selection of the next director principal of the Government Medical College and Hospital Sector 32, the single bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) adjourned the matter to January 9.

Earlier, during the hearing, the counsel for one of the respondent doctors Dr Suman Kochhar filed a reply on her behalf stating that the post of the director principal is a non cadre post and that the faculty members of the GMCH 32 could apply for the same.

Meanwhile, in another application filed by Dr S K Singh, in the same issue, from PGIMER which is also being heard simultaneously, the counsel for Dr Singh sought time to file the counter reply, to which the Tribunal agreed to give him time.
