Shekar Viswanathan, currently deputy MD (commercial), has been promoted to the post of vice-chairman (external affairs) that would involve government liasoning. Sandeep Singh will now be designated as deputy MD and chief operating officer responsible for the sales, marketing, customer service and commercial divisions. Masanori Takahashi will be the deputy managing director and chief operating officer heading the manufacturing, technical, purchase and vendor development departments, including supplier support. All the three executives will continue to hold positions in the company’s board of directors, the release said. Meanwhile, Shigeru Tomonaga, currently the deputy MD (manufacturing), will be the executive advisor to the TKM board and chief of supplier support centre.
