Topics for MBA exam papers being leaked, alleges student
An MBA course student of University of Pune (UoP) has alleged that there were question paper leaks of its third semester MBA course exams. The management exams started on December 5 and will continue till December 12.
Damon (name changed), a third semester student of financial management from Nashik, is one of the students to claim that he received messages on his cell a day before every exam that mentioned the topics on which questions of next day’s paper would be based. “I get the message about the topics after 11 pm a day before the exam. My friend from Pune sends them to me and he gets them from his friends,” said Damon. Nashik, Ahmednagar and Pune come under University of Pune.
The friend who sends messages to Damon is from one of the famous MBA colleges in Pune, Damon said. “In two papers, the similarity between the messages received and the next day’s paper was almost 60-70%. But in the rest of the papers, the questions asked were exactly from the same topics as received in the SMS,” said Damon.
In Advanced Financial Management and Direct Taxation, the questions were 70% similar to the details sent through SMS, said Damon. After comparison, Newsline which has accessed the messages and the question papers, found that about 40 marks of the total 70 were from the topics given in the message. “There were two problems of 15 and 10 marks each.
