In a narrow trading activity, tin prices rose at the non-ferrous metal market here today on good stockists buying amid sustained demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, select base metals ended mixed on alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Tin climbed by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,400 from overnight close of Rs 1,395.

Copper armiture, brass sheet cutting and zinc also inched up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 470, 332 and Rs 145 respectively.

However, nickel moved down by Rs 2 per kg to RS 1,105 from Rs 1,107 and copper utensils scrap softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 445 from Rs 446.
