Thymol prices up on pick-up in demand

In limited deals, thymol prices rose by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today, largely on pick up in demand from consuming units amid paucity of stocks due to fall in supplies from producing regions.

Thymol prices rose by Rs 10 to settle at Rs 1,030 per kg.

Traders said increased demand from consuming units against fall in supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up thymol prices.

Hydrogen peroxide (1 kg) Rs 36-50, menthol bold crystal (per kg) Rs 1,575, menthol flake (1 kg) Rs 1,510 and mentha oil (1kg) Rs 1,470.
