All eyes were on the Inkaar trio — director Sudhir Mishra, actor Arjun Rampal and actress Chitrangada Singh — as they made their way to the 19th Annual Colors Screen Awards
With the buzz that Inkaar has been creating with its subject on gender politics in the urban workplaces, it was but natural that film-maker Sudhir Mishra, actor Arjun Rampal and actress Chitrangada Singh created a stir wherever they went at the 19th Annual Colors Screen Awards venue. Right from the red carpet to the time they presented an award on the stage. And with each known to have a striking personality, they made quite an eye-catching picture together.
While in the green room, they patiently answered all curious queries from their frat on their film. When the trio went on the stage to present the Best Actor and Actress in a Supporting Role award, a showreel of the film was aired, creating further buzz in the audience with its unusual subject and impressive performances. A topic gaining more relevance at a time when the country finds itself grappling with issues of gender struggle, and of outdated beliefs struggling to keep pace with changing times. In fact the film, which released last week, is already being considered a pathbreaking one as it raises pertinent questions without taking sides.
