Bangalore: BPO hopefuls in Karnataka can now take a test to assess their aptitude for the sector. Successful candidates will be given a certificate from the state government, and their names will be part of a database that the government is trying to build up.

The Karnataka government has tied up with two private human resources testing and assessment companies — Meritrac and Eduquity — to help build up a manpower bank for the BPO industry. These will assess candidates for various skills, including English language, and typing.
