Joseph, a manager at Woodland Hotel on the Rajaram Mohan Roy Road, and Venkat, a software engineer with a private company in Bangalore who was a customer at the hotel, were arrested in a raid by the S R Nagar police on Tuesday.

The police also rescued a girl who hails from Kolkata.

The raid came after the police were tipped-off about a prostitution racket being run in the hotel.

The girl told the police that a person lured her to Bangalore with the promise of a better job a few weeks ago but instead pushed her into prostitution.

The police said the hotel manager was part of the racket which soliciting customers online.
