than the budgeted annual target of 15 per cent.

The direct tax collection target is 5.70 lakh crore for this fiscal.

The tax collection drive could further be hit as yet another association of the department-- Income Tax Employees Federation (ITEF)-- is also mulling to join the stir after its all-India meeting on February 11.

"We are yet to hear anything from the CBDT. We have made our point clear and we want an early resolution to our grievances. As of now, we are going ahead by our all-India resolution that was taken few days back in Puri in Odisha," ITGOA General Secretary Baswa Nand told PTI.

"None of our members will pass any assessment orders in the month of February 2013," the ITGOA said in its resolution.

A senior CBDT official said, on the condition of anonymity, that the board is trying to resolve the issues with both the I-T associations and the official expressed hope that the tax collection would not be affected and the tax department would be able to meet its target.

The association has also decided to wear black badges in front of the CBDT chairperson and other members from February 11.
