



Taipei, June 2: : Taiwan stocks closed 1.2 percent up on Monday in their best day in 2 weeks, as PC shares such as Hon Hai rose after US tech shares rallied on upbeat earnings from Dell, the world's No. 2 computer maker.
The main TAIEX share index closed up 105.39 points at 8,724.47, rebounding from a two-month closing low in the previous session. The 1.22 percent gain was the broader market's biggest advance since May 15, when it closed 1.54 percent higher.
The electronics sub-index jumped 1.33 percent, with Hon Hai shares 4.65 percent higher and Acer shares up 1.9 percent.
