Social activist Anna Hazare Saturday said that tabling the Lokpal Bill on the agenda on day two of the Winter Session of Parliament was nothing but a political stunt.

“First, there should be a discussion on my three demands — Citizens’ charter i.e Jan Lokpal, to make all Lokpal offices functional and lastly to bring the Prime Minister and all the four — Class I, II, III and IV employees under the Jan Lokpal,” he said.

Hazare was speaking to the media while attending the 75th birthday celebrations of Dattatraya Pawar, father of Hazare’s legal counsel in Pune — advocate Milind Pawar.

He said that all political parties indulge in corruption and that he does not have faith in any party. “Bringing the Lokpal is done keeping in mind the 2014 elections. I don’t trust... or hope of any positive outcome,” he said.

He reiterated that he shall begin the 18-month long nation-wide tour from January 30 from Bihar. When asked about Arvind Kejriwal’s announcement of his ‘Aam Aadmi party’ on Saturday, Hazare said that if good candidates contest elections from this party, “we will support them”.

Meanwhile, Hazare is all set to go to Odisha on November 30 to attend a farmers’ meet at Jagatsinghpur.
