Aneeth Aroraís tea party on Saturday night was a sweet affair. It began with pouches of M&Mís with her label ďPeroĒ printed on them lying on the seats before the show, and ended with a few lucky first row guests getting a slice of the Red Velvet Cake from Elmaís Bakery.
White and pink defined her collection and the Mary Poppins-like creations on the ramp, complete with gloves and socks and hats, added to the very girly charm of the show. The M&Mís were such a hit that we caught a few picking up more than a pouch, while others were guilty of tweeting pictures of the sweet nothings.
Itís this obsession with the minutest details that set Arora apart, and while this show was sweet (literally), it sorely lacked punch. Aroraís boho-chic, layered ensembles need a fair amount of reinvention, to not give in to a repetitive look. Theyíre cute and sweet, butthey leave you with a familiar aftertaste.
