Suspected Raj Thackeray men ransack theatre screening Bhojpuri film 'Ek Bihari Sau Pe Bhari'

Over a dozen suspected workers of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) allegedly ransacked a theatre here today, protesting against the screening of a Bhojpuri film, district police said.

According to police, the group of party workers barged into the cinema hall named 'Chitralaya', which screened the Bhojpuri film 'Ek Bihari Sau Pe Bhari' and then started vandalising it.

Following the incident, there was chaos inside the theatre as members of the audience started running for their lives. However, the situation was brought under control immediately, police said.

Police have registered an offence under sections 143,147 and 149 of the IPC, but nobody has been arrested so far in this connection.

The incident has taken place against the backdrop of MNS chief Raj Thackeray's threat to brand Biharis as "infiltrators" and force them out of Maharashtra if authorities in Bihar took legal action against Mumbai policemen, who had picked up a teenager, involved in Azad Maidan violence, without informing their counterparts in that state.

That is why more and more Industries are shifting to Gujrat particularly and the efficiency and conviction rate scorecard of Mahapolice is worst that Bihar and the poorest. Even there are sympatrhisers for this Gang in Congress and police force too. Mumbai is going the Bengals way this lumpen Raj and the party in power jointly driving away the investments and industry out of this state in a organised way. Great Mumbai keep it up .

Misleading politicians with ulterior motives

We as Bombayites or whatever else we call ourselves have to see to it that we do not vote for such parties and let them clinch power and control the police(which is suppossed to be independent of the political mechanism of any state). These power hungry politicians are misleading the common people into believing that "outsiders" are taking away their jobs and living space. But they can only be compared to Indians abroad-a category in which friends and family of these very polititcians belong- who are trying to find a better life away from "home". No place on earth has been the right of any particular community-over years people come and go and that should remain our policy too. Instead of branding them as infriltators, the politicians should try reining in these very people to strengthen the economic condition of the state-which is down in the doldrums. This is only a way to distract the electorate from the actual problems of the state. A

Their parochial movement transmuted into a violent Chimera and the its first victim was the popular trade union leader Krishna Desai.He was killed with a sword in broad day light. Like Punjab's Bhindrenwala, this serpent was cherished by late S.K. Patil and V.P. Naik, both top brass of Congress Party to counter the trade union movements of Bombay. Today, the killers of Ketan Desai and their progeny are threatening the lives and livelihoods of north Indians in Mumbai with impunity. If the Congress fails to act decisively at this critical juncture again, nation would be paying one day a very heavy price. These divisive forces must be quashed with all the might available at the disposal of Center.
