Sunil and Tarranum corner glory

Showing off his class, former CHART trainee and national champion, Sunil Kumar Sipaeya overpowered second seed Yogesh Phogat 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 in the men's singles final match played during the CLTA-AITA Chandigarh Open-1 Lakh Men’s & Women’s Tennis Tournament at the CLTA Stadium in Chandigarh, to clinch the title. Meanwhile in the women's singles final match, top seed Tarranum Handa outclassed Natallia Khaniejo 6-3, 3-0 (Conceded) to lift the title.
After losing the first set 4-6, Sunil Kumar Sipaeya made a commendable comeback in the match by winning the next two sets 6-4, 6-2 with ease. Tarranum Handa also executed sharp skills to rattle Natallia Khaniejo in the women's singles final. Tarranum bagged the first set 6-3 and was leading in the second set by 3-0 when Natallia developed some injury and conceded the match. Tarranum also grabbed the doubles title partnering with Manya Nagpal. The duo got the better off Victoria Chehal and Priyanka Rawat in straight sets.
