Sugar cos' shares up on de-control plan

Shares of sugar producers were trading higher after reports that the government might allow de-control of sugar prices, three dealers said.
The Indian government is expected discuss sugar de-control in a meet in the next eight to ten days, Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar said.
At 10.19 a.m., shares of Shree Renuka Sugars, Bajaj Hindusthan, Balrampur Chini Mills and Simbhaoli Sugars were up 2.5 to 6 percent.
