Sudarshan Securities sells 3.78% in Kirloskar Bros Invest

Sudarshan Securities today sold its entire holding of 3.78 per cent in Kirloskar Brothers Investment Ltd for Rs 17 crore.

The shares were purchased by promoters of Kirloskar Brothers Investment through open market transactions.

According to the information available with the stock exchanges, Sudarshan Securities offloaded 2 lakh shares or 3.78 per cent stake in the finance arm spun off from the pump making company Kirloskar Brothers.

The scrips were sold on an average price of Rs 850 valuing the deal size to Rs 17 crore.

Besides, Arti Atul Kirloskar and Jyotsna Gautam Kulkarni acquired 66,667 shares each, while Alpana Kirloskar bought 66,666 scrips of the company.

In December 2011, Sudarshan Securities had reportedly picked-up 3.64 per cent stake in Kirloskar Brothers Investments for around Rs 14 crore.

In a separate deal, Mavi Investment Fund, a shareholder of Adani Power, sold 50 lakh shares of the company for Rs 48 apiece aggregating the deal size to Rs 24 crore.

These shares were acquired by Vinodbhai Shantilal Adani NRE.

Earlier this week, Mavi Investment Fund had offloaded 75 lakh shares of the power firm for Rs 33.37 crore to Vinodbhai Shantilal Adani NRE.

As of December quarter, Mavi Investment Fund held 2.82 crore shares representing 1.18 per cent stake in Adani power.

At the BSE, Kirloskar Brothers Investments' scrip dropped 0.8 per cent to settle at Rs 860.10, while that of Adani Power rose 1.36 per cent to close at Rs 48.40.
