A group of students from the US who are studying Hinduism are now getting an opportunity to have first hand experience of Indian culture here.

The 19 students of Rutgers University, New Jersey had earlier undergone an on-line introduction to the course in their University before flying to India for an intensive study.

"The roots of Hinduism are so deep that if practised properly, adversities would turn into opportunities", Robert Lindsey, a student said.

The course is highly interactive. The students finally would have to appear in the examination to be conducted by Rutgers University New Jersey, Dr Satya Narayan Das, the founder Director of Jiva Institute that imparts teaching in Indian culture, Hinduism, Indian Philosophy and Ayurveda said.

"In addition to daily lectures, students are exposed to music, art, dance and rituals that makes life in India specially in Vrindaban special. It will attempt an initial introduction to the plethora of traditions and cultural expressions, grouped under the heuristic label of Hinduism", he said.

Students, attending the course are getting an opportunity to have first hand experience of Indian culture. "Hinduism is much more accepting", another student Alexandra Puntolilto feels.

"It imparts idea of non-violence and vegetarianism. It inculcates kindness towards others. The course certainly would change the course of my life", he said.

"Study of Krishna and Yamuna is good experience. The level of consciousness is bound to improve by this course", Marina a student from New Jersey said.

Ancient India was rich in culture (Hindu), spirituality (Sanatan Dharma)and system of education (gurukul)and that is why people like Colombus, Vasco Da Gama wanted to visit India. However over the years we Indians have lost so many values due to invasions of Mughal , British. If the true value of one's religion is understood and followed by all rather than listening and following the misconception and rituals which is being followed for ages by certain religious leaders/followers. All the religions say do good things be it Hinduism (Sanatan Dharma) or Islam or Christanity but none follows the true spirit of his/her religion. Otherwise people like Owaisi OR Togadia will not make hate speach, spread hatred among its people
