The state is all set to get three new government medical colleges which will have churn out 300 doctors every year. The colleges, which will cost the state exchequer Rs 1,292 crore, will come up in Gondia, Chandrapur and Baramati.

“The state has given clearance to set up three government medical colleges in Gondia, Chandrapur and Baramati with a capacity of 100 students each. Each of these colleges will have a 500-bed hospital,” deputy secretary of the medical education department A M Atram said.
