Sports brief: Harendra, Harmeet to lead Chandigarh's challenge

Chandigarh: Harendra Gupta and Harmeet kahlon will lead Chandigarh's challenge in the Indian Oil Servo Masters Golf Championship to be played at Digboi Golf Links from November 13 to November 16 under the aegis of Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI). The prize money for the tournament has been increased from Rs 25 Lakh to Rs 30 Lakh. The Pro-Am event will be held on November 17. The tournament also features Australian Kunal Bhasin who is a multiple winner on the PGTI.

Kundan Challenge Cup on the anvil

Chandigarh: Management of Kundan International School Sector 46 in collaboration with Chandigarh Football Association will organise Football Festival for Kundan Challenge Cup 2013 for 8 years (boys) on November 28 and 29, according to CFA general secretary Rakesh Bakshi. The boys born on or after January 1, 2005 are eligible to participate in the Football Festival. Invitation letters to the various schools have been sent and the schools who have not received the invitation letter may contact Rakesh Bakshi (9872663039) to confirm their entries which can be sent to Principal Kundan International School, Sector 46 on or before November 27.

Roller skating tourney from Nov 15

Panchkula: The District Roller Skating Association of Panchkula is conducting District Roller Skating Championship from November 15 to November 17 at Blue Bird High School Sector 16, Panchkula and Bhawan Vidyalaya Sector 15, Panchkula. Hockey matches would be conducted at Bhawan Vidyalaya School on November 15 while speed events would be held in Blue Bird School on November 16 and November 17. Selected skaters will represent Panchkula District in Haryana State Roller Skating Championship. Entry forms are available at respective skating centres and schools. The last date of submission of entry form is November 15.
