South Korean tourist claims rape in MP, theft in Aurangabad

A South Korean tourist, who was allegedly raped in Madhya Pradesh on January 14, filed a police complaint Thursday in Aurangabad district.
Kranti Chowk police said the 23-year-old claimed she was raped by a waiter in a hotel at Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in Umaria district. The woman said she went to Bandhavgarh after visiting a few tourist places in Madhya Pradesh. At a hotel there, she asked the waiter to serve her beer in her room. She claimed the waiter laced her drink with sedatives and allegedly raped her after she became unconscious.
Police said her bag containing a camera, cellphone and cash was also allegedly stolen from the railway station in Aurangabad on January 29.
