South African woman eats drug-laced biscuit, robbed

A South African national, who had come to India on a business trip, was travelling by bus recently when she was allegedly tricked by a youth into consuming a biscuit laced with narcotics. The next day, she woke up in a city hospital — without her cash, passport or important documents.
Badru Nisha, hailing from Durban, came to the city via Mumbai on February 6 and checked into a hotel in Paharganj, Central Delhi. Nisha had come down to Delhi in connection with her garment business.
On the second day of her visit, Nisha decided to go to Ramesh Park, but was unable to get an autorickshaw. In her complaint, she alleged: “When I didn’t get an auto, I caught a bus to Amar Colony. A youth struck a conversation with me. He offered me a biscuit, and I ate it.”
She lost consciousness, and the next morning, woke up at the Guru Teg Bahadur hospital. She was robbed of USD 3,500, Rs 5,900, her passport, and other important documents.
