The cellphone of a Gurgaon-based software professional has been ringing non-stop for the past several weeks. And all because of an ongoing soft drink promotional campaign.
Shipra Seth, a resident of Sector 55, has slapped a legal notice on PepsiCo India Limited for printing her cellphone number under a Slice bottle crown as part of a promotional campaign.
Slice is currently running a commercial which says Katrina Ka Number Crown Ke Under. The commercial asks customers to look under the crown to find a number which is supposedly Katrina’s. Instead of the star’s number, Seth says her mobile phone number was printed.

“I have been missing out on important calls from my office as well as those of my family and friends as I keep my phone on a vibrating mode these days. Moreover, I have been on leave since January 4 due to health issues. These calls have made my life hell,” she said.
Her lawyer Dinesh Arora said: “We are planning to file a suit to claim damages and also a criminal suit. The company has not responded even after receiving the notice.”
