Sintex Industries Q3 net up at Rs 71-cr

Mumbai: Plastics product maker Sintex Industries said its consolidated net profit for the third quarter rose 21.07 per cent at Rs 70.84 crore over the the same quarter in the previous fiscal.

In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, Sintex Industries informed that it had a net profit of Rs 58.51 crore for the same quarter of FY'08.

"Its been a challenging quarter for Sintex considering the global and domestic businesses have shown good growth rates despite signs of a slowdown in the domestic economy," Sintex Industries Managing Director Amit Patel said.

Total income of the company stood at Rs 845.34 crore for the quarter under review, against Rs 621.03 crore for the same quarter in the year-ago period.
