Silver futures prices up 0.58%

Tracking a firm global trend, silver futures prices today moved up by 0.58 per cent to Rs 61,159 per kg as speculators enlarged their positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December rose by Rs 355, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 61,159 per kg in business turnover of 3,462 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in March gained Rs 308, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs 62,950 per kg in 283 lots.
Market analysts said increased buying by speculators and a firm global trend mainly pushed up silver prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver rose by 0.6 per cent to USD 32.67 an ounce in Singapore.
