The government is likely to consider on Tuesday the proposal of Satyam Computers Services for denotification of SEZ at Visakhapatnam and splitting of Mukesh Ambani-promoted Navi Mumbai SEZ into five.

The Board of Approval (BoA) headed by commerce secretary Rahul Khullar would also decide on the requests for further extension of validity for several other SEZs, including those of Reliance Group, GMR, Mahindra & Mahindra, Parsavnath and Unitech.

Satyam Computers Services Ltd has approached the government, seeking denotification of its Visakhapatnam SEZ following transfer of land to Indian Navy.

Navi Mumbai SEZ has sought a second extension for three of its IT/ITeS special economic zones at Ulwe, in Maharashtra.
