The Infosys co-chairman said that growth in the Indian IT industry will help provide jobs to a large number of youth. He said that the IT market size will increase to 300 billion US dollars by 2020 and increase from the current size of 100 billion US dollars. He said that an estimated 2.5 million jobs will be added due to the growth.
Gopalakrishnan said that the Indian IT scenario is witnessing a number of changes and adoption of cloud-computing is helping the companies cut on costs. He also added that the companies are innovating and that there is a rise in the number of patents that have been filed.
