St Xavier’s High School event on patriotism

A grand mono-acting competition was held for students of Std VI to VIII at St Xavier’s High School, Borivali (E), on January 17. It was aimed at encouraging young patriots to follow great leaders and achieve success. Some students donned Nehru caps while some wearing turbans wielded swords and shields. The judges were transported back in time. Students carried banners spreading the message of peace, freedom, goodness, courage and prosperity.

Loksatta Yashasvi Bhava book distribution

A Loksatta Yashasvi Bhava book distribution programme was held at Sheth B M Padwal High School, Padwal Nagar, Thane (West). The syllabus was provided to students of the school with the help of Ekanth Shinde, MLA. Books were distributed among 10th standard students by school chairman Vijay Padwal. He said, “Loksatta Yashasvi Bhava book is like Bhagwat Geeta for students of Std X.” Three students from each division spoke about the benefits of the syllabus. Among others present were principal Mohite madam and the programme was managed by Jadhav sir.

International collaboration for Kohinoor Education Trust

Kohinoor Education Trust has international collaboration for academic and cultural understanding and cooperation with Georgia College & State University, US, to enhance better relations and exchange of expertise. In sync with the group philosophy of ‘Quest for Perpetual Growth’, KET’s Kohinoor Business School & KIMI School of Hospitality Management are taking a leap forward by sending students and faculty to GCSU. The group left for GCSU on January 18 for a week-long tour. KBS and KIMI believe such endeavours will help students and faculty develop a global perspective. Students will interact with faculty, students and participate in workshops.

Annual prize distribution function 2012-2013

Annual Prize Distribution Function 2012-2013 of Sarvajanik Shikshan Sanstha’s Lokmanya Tilak English High School, V P Road, Mulund (West), is scheduled on Friday, February 1, 2013, at 10 am. The venue will be Sarvajanik Shikshan Sanstha’s hall. The school’s website is also being launched on the same day. Amol Dhamdhere, secretary, Indian Education Society, Dadar, will be the chief guest. Girish Kuber, managing editor, Dainik Loksatta, will be the guest of honour. The function will be presided over by Vivek Deshpande, chairman of Lokmanya Tilak English High School.

Loksatta Yashasvi Bhava book distribution

A Loksatta Yashasvi Bhava book distribution programme was held at Shreeram Vidyalaya High School Thane (West). Books were distributed among 10th standard students by ex-corporator Dilip Bartakke.

The syllabus was provided to students of the school with the help of Ekanth Shinde, MLA and leading politician of Thane.

Bartakke said: “This book is one of the best initiatives by Loksatta. Among others present was principal of the school, Namjoshi madam.

Loksatta Yashasvi Bhava seminar

A Loksatta Yashasvi Bhava seminar was held at TMC School No 5 on January 24. Around 350 students of 3-4 schools attended the seminar organised by Loksatta with the help of ex-corporator Dilip Bartakke.

The syllabus was provided to students of the school with the help of Ekanth Shinde, MLA and leading politician of Thane.

The students were given guidance on subjects such as English by professor Akhil Bhosale from Loksatta Yashasvi Bhava panel.

He guided students in an interactive manner, giving tips for scoring in examinations.

The second lecture on maths, geometry and science was delivered by professor Borate, who tought students ways to answer the maths and geometry paper and gave tips on how to solve tough problems.
