Sachin Tendulkar scores again, this time with Valuemart Retail

Bangalore-based Valuemart Retail today said it has signed up Sachin Tendulkar as its brand ambassador for a three-year period.
"Sachin would promote a unique range of commemorative products conceptualised by Valuemart Retail, involving the use of his images, photos and logo," the company said in a filing to the BSE.
The company, however, did not share the financial details of its three-year contract with the cricketing icon.
Commenting on the development, Valuemart Retail Founder Director C K Vasudevan said: ""We believe we share the same values as Sachin and commit ourselves to deliver the same standards of quality and excellence in our new product initiative."
Apart from offering services directly to customers, Valumart also offer smartcards and web-based solutions for retail and financial services sectors.
