Rusell Brand and Katy Perry to have Indian wedding in Jaipur
Hollywood's A-list couple Rusell Brand and Katy Perry will tie the knot in Jaipur this month and the grand nuptials will have all elements of a big fat Indian wedding, band, 'baraat' (wedding procession) and fireworks.
While the date of the wedding is not known, the event will take place at the Rambagh Palace, where Brand proposed to Perry over New Year, reported E!Online.
The British comedian will ride a bedecked horse, escorted by a procession of elephants and dancers.
"The procession will start at the gate of the hotel, with the bridegroom sitting on a beautifully decorated horse that is escorted by camels and elephants," said a source close to the couple.
"Folk dancers then welcome the couple with a traditional routine, fireworks and a special buggi (horse-driven cart) ushering them into the main garden for the wedding," added the source.
After getting married in India, the couple will still need to have a civil ceremony in the US for their union to be recognised there.
The guest list will include Perry's best friend Rihanna and comedian Jonathan Ross among others.
