Kolkata, Aug 14: Kolkata-based Re-feel Cartridge Engineering is looking at revenue of around Rs 20 crore in the next two years. The company also plans to set up a chain of 25 franchisee stores across the country in the next one year, according to Alkesh Agarwal, one of the promoters of Re-feel.
"Re-feel delivers high-yield printer cartridges with no compromise on print quality and printers' performance. We also provide one-month warranty in case our ink damages the printer," said Agarwal.
The company, which started operating early this year, wants to take advantage of the growing consolidation of the cartridge refill business into an organised market.
With the coming of the Australian-based refill company, Cartridge World, the refill market is getting matured, feel many printer analysts.
Samit Lakhotia, the other promoter of the company, said: "Although the cartridge refill market is small as against the new cartridges', consumers are increasingly favouring the organised refillers rather than going to local ink fillers."
"The total size of the cartridge market in the country is around Rs 1400 crore, and at present, only 10-12% of business comes from refilling. But there is a big demand gap between cartridges from o riginal equipment manufacturers (OEM) like HP, Cannon and Epson and unorganised refillers, which we look forward to cover through our organised franchisee stores," said Lakhotia.
