Red chilli prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in an otherwise steady kirana market today on fresh demand from retailers.
However, other spices moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said fresh demand from retailers against limited arrivals from producing belts mainly pushed up red chilli prices.
In the national capital, red chilli moved up by Rs 100 to Rs 6,100-11,500 per quintal.
