Vicky is a student of Class XII in a government school here. His brother-in-law works as a daily wager. The accused had raped the victim five months ago at her residence when the victim’s mother had gone out to work and her father had been at his tea stall.
After the victim was reported pregnant, the two families had a mutual settlement. However, on February 21, the accused along with his mother took the girl to a doctor in Mohali. There the victim’s pregnancy was allegedly terminated.
After the girl came home, her mother noticed that she had not been well. On asking the girl told her parents about what happened. Since then, the victim has been admitted to GMSH-16 where the doctors say that she is recovering.
