Remember how family feuds, guns and violence played a major backdrop in Parma (Arjun Kapoor) and Zoya’s (Parineeti Chopra) romance in YRF’s Ishaqzaade? The same flavour will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s forthcoming film Ram Leela. Though a love story between Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, audiences will see a lot of violence in the film.

Reveals a person working on the project, “Ranveer and Deepika as Ram and Leela love each other a lot, but their family members are against their relationship. The two hail from orthodox backgrounds. Also, there are some killings that happen due to which the problems start occurring in their lives.”

With the first schedule already wrapped up, the team is currently shooting the second one at Mumbai’s Film City.

Since Ram Leela is set in vibrant Gujarat, a set depicting the state has been erected in the studio. Apart from the quintessential Gujarati houses, a gun market has also been created, since the film has guns and violence. After the indoor the shoot, the cast and crew will move to Kutch and Rajasthan to capture the real beauty of ancient forts and deserts.

Apart from Ranveer and Deepika, the film also stars Abhimanyu Singh who plays the main villain in the film and will be seen in ethnic attire wearing dhoti, kurta and pagdi. The movie also features Richa Chadda and Shweta Salve in important roles.
