SummaryRam Gopal Varma starts off asking questions like 'Does Lord Ganesha eat with his hands or his trunk?'

While the whole of India was extremely happy to welcome Lord Ganesha (who is also known as the 'elephant God' or 'remover of the obstacles') during the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the maverick film maker Ram Gopal Varma took to twitter and not just questioned the devotees' faith on the elephant God, but also 'directed' a few personal questions at Lord Ganesha himself! In simple words, RGV did nothing but to wage a war of words questioning everyone's faith and devotions.

He started off asking questions like "Does Lord Ganesha eat with his hands or his trunk?", "Can someone tell me if today is the day Ganesha was originally born or is it the day his dad cut his head off?" He then, went on to plead his innocence by stating, "I have an innocent question...can someone please tell me how a Lord who couldn't save his own head will save others heads?" He added that, "Can someone explain how someone can cut off a child's head who was just trying to protect his mother's modesty? Am sure devotees know better."

He also questioned about Lord Ganesha's paunch by stating, "Did Lord Ganesha have a paunch in his childhood too or did it develop in the recovery time of the elephant head operation? Does Lord Ganesha eat much more than other Gods? My doubt is becos all the other Gods are either trim or muscular."

Well, the hurling at Lord Ganesha and His devotees just did not stop there. Ram Gopal Varma continued tweeting by stating that "I would very much like to be educated on my queries on Ganesha by esteemed experts on the matter." He also seemed to have found the reason for his films to flop when he said, "I think my films are flopping only becos of my attitude towards Gods. ..I wish I can become a devotee".

Lastly, like an innocent kid asking for forgiveness for his mistake, RGV very sheepishly tweeted, "All concerned pls undrstand tht my questions nd observations on Ganesha are coming from both my innocence nd ignorance on the subject matter." "All tweets I put on Ganesha were in my usual manner but unintended by me to hurt anyone's sentiments...but if they did I sincerely apologize."
