Rahul to visit Rae Bareli, Amethi today
“After arriving at Furstaganj airport, Rahul will leave for Rae Bareli and then participate in a meeting of a women self-help group in Amethi,” an official said, adding that Rahul’s visit will be non-political.
In Amethi, Rahul will participate in a meeting of Rajiv Gandhi Mahila Vikas Pariyojana (RGMVP), the flagship programme of Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust, at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Amethi’s Gauriganj area.
FIR lodged against ex-MD of bank for siphoning off Rs 1.12 crore
An FIR has been lodged at Hussainganj police station against former managing director of Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Land Development Bank, Naval Kishore, for allegedly embezzling Rs 1.12 crore — bank’s fund — during his tenure.
The complaint against Kishore was lodged by Alok Dixit, the bank’s General Manager(Administration). Hussainganj Station House Officer RP Yadav said the complainant has alleged that a total of Rs 1.12 crore was embezzled from the bank between February 2010 and March 2012 when Kishore was the managing director. Yadav said the complaint has been lodged as per the findings of the bank’s audit, in which the irregularities were detected.
He said Kishore had been booked under the charges of fund embezzlement and criminal breach of trust by a public servant.
