Rahul Sethi to head Ibibo's new e-commerce business

New Delhi: Ibibo Web(p) Ltd. launches auctions platform under the brand name of Tradus.in and appoints Rahul Sethi as President of E-Commerce. In this role, Rahul Sethi will be responsible for building up and driving all e-commerce properties for the company.

Tradus.in, the recently soft launched auctions platform will focus on building a healthy community of buyers and sellers with co-existence of dynamic and fixed price models. Tradus as the name suggests is to enable – TRADE and “US” to form a “Community”.

Prior to joining, ibibo web (p) ltd., Rahul founded MobileNXT and was the Head – E-commerce at Web 18, part of Network 18 group. He was a core part of Baazee.com team (April 2000 to Jan 2006) and worked in various roles of category management and later in Marketing at eBay India (eBay bought over baazee in Jun'04). He was instrumental in building the categories - 'Consumer Electronics, Cameras & Mobiles' for Baazee.com and later in his role with eBay India, he set up ‘Online Affiliate marketing’ program for the website.

As Head of Marketing & General Manager - Futurebazaar.com, (Jan 2006 – Dec 2007) he launched the brand and was instrumental in taking the company among the top 3 ecommerce websites in the country; in less than a year of launch, Futurebazaar was judged as Best shopping website in PC-World web awards 2007.
