Joining the chorus, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi should be the prime ministerial candidate for this year's Lok Sabha polls.
Describing Rahul as a strong candidate for becoming the next Prime Minister, Hooda said that it was his personal opinion that his (Rahul's) name should be declared as the prime ministerial candidate.
Hooda, who was addressing a press conference at his residence here this evening, was asked that a section of leaders within the Congress wanted that Rahul's name should be declared at the earliest as PM candidate.
Asked to comment on the possibilities of holding state Assembly elections along with the Lok Sabha polls, Hooda said that the present state government would complete its full tenure and the elections would be held on scheduled time (in September-October this year).
