The BJP on Saturday ridiculed the Congress decision to anoint Nehru-Gandhi family scion Rahul Gandhi as the vice-president of the party, saying it was not going to benefit the country.

“This is no surprise. It has been a well-known fact that only a Gandhi family member can become number two in the Congress. There is no reason for jubilation because he was never at number three. He was number two even earlier,” BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said after the Congress’s announcement. “I do not see how the country is going to benefit from mere announcement of his position. Country is not going to benefit from it.”

Earlier in the day, BJP said that the issue of what “role” Rahul takes within the Congress was of least importance to the electorate.

“The aspiration of Indian youth cannot be addressed with a clamour for a bigger role for Rahul Gandhi. This is the least concern of India and Indians,” party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said.

He made light of Congress president Sonia Gandhi exhorting party cadres of being mindful of the aspirations of youth, saying that ruling party’s concern was less for the youth of the country and more for Rahul.

To Congress leaders, Rahul was more than No.2 since his father's death. There is no need for anyone to make him No.2. CWC meeting says, it was proposed and unanimously passed!! Does anyone has the guts to object it?? So, it is a joke, the proposing and passing of the move. All those lame horses, like Lalu Prasad, Mayawati and whoever involved in looting India will wholeheartedly support and speak for Rahul to please the 'Madam' so that they will get their share of cake before and after the next election. Late Rajiv Gandhi put his trial of PMship for five years and the Indians are IN to see another five year training on PM's chair conceded on hereditary basis, if BJP is not able to get a majority to form the ministry. Jai Ho....

I believe that I, or for that matter anyone who regularly reads a newspaper is more informed and knows the ground realities of the nation better than Rahul Gandhi. What these sycophants of congress party claim though that he has won elections and can't be compared to anyone who just has good education. Now how about congress leaders like Jyotiraditya Scindia and Schin Pilot. These gentlemen have won elections, have an infinite times better education (from schools like Stanford and Wharton respectively) and are even younger than that blockhead pseudo Raul Gandhi. These guys have even experience of running a government in the capacity of a minister. Why no one even talks about these guys? This proves the point that the entire nomination process and the 'internal election' is a sham! Say no to scamsters. Say NO to the Congress party.
