Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' has broken the earlier opening weekend collection records for Yash Raj Films (YRF), the company said.

The film released on December 12 has grossed approximately Rs 60 crore worldwide in its opening weekend and surpassed 'Dhoom 2' regarded as one of the highest grossing films of all times.

In the Middle-east, the movie has set a new record as highest opening film of all time. While 'Dhoom 2' had generated a revenue of USD 1.86 million across its entire run 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' earned USD one million in the opening week alone, a Yash Raj spokesperson said.

The film has had a grand opening across all overseas markets like USA, UK, Australia, Europe, Africa and other territories in Asia, the spokesperson added.
