KEC Int’l sells 7.3 acre Thane land for R212 cr

KEC International has sold 7.3 acres of land in Maharashtra's Thane district, near Mumbai, to Ardent Properties, a subsidiary of Tata Housing Development Company (THDCL), for about R211.70 crore. The company has signed an agreement to sell the property and expects to complete the formalities in about 3 months, KEC International said in a statement.

Jet expands codeshare pact with Air France

Jet Airways and Air France announced the expansion of their code share partnership, which will offer enhanced network connectivity to 12 major cities across Europe and the UK. The new code share flights open for sale from April 2, and will be available for travel effective May 14, 2014. RPower’s Butibori plant gets fully operational

Reliance Power said on Tuesday its 600 MW coal-based power plant at Butibori in Maharashtra has become fully operational. The Butibori project, being developed by Vidarbha Industries Power, a subsidiary of Reliance Power, is fully operational, the company said in a regulatory filing. It has commenced supplies under a 25-year long-term power purchase agreement with Reliance Infrastructure, it said.

Ramesh N Subramanyam is CFO at Tata Power

Tata Power, the country's largest private power generation utility, on Tuesday appointed Ramesh N Subramanyam as the company's CFO. Subramanyam, who was CFO and company secretary of Coastal Gujarat Power, the subsidiary that operates the 4,000 MW ultra mega power project at Mundra in Gujarat, took over as the Tata Power CFO yesterday, the company said in a statement.

Alstom bags R182-crore order from PowerGrid

Alstom T&D India and Alstom Grid UK have won a 22.75 million euro (R182 crore) contract from state-run Power Grid Corporation to supply and refurbish High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) converter transformers. "These transformers will strengthen the 1,000 MW HVDC station at Bhadrawati in Maharashtra, which interconnects and moves surplus power from West India to South India," Alstom said.
