Agencies: New Delhi, Nov 02 2012, 13:10 IST
Potato prices drifted by Rs 5.80 to Rs 731 per quintal in futures trade today on adequate supplies following fresh arrivals from producing belts against subdued demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, potato for delivery in March declined by Rs 5.80, or 0.79 per cent, to Rs 731 per quintal in business turnover of 14 lots.
The potato for delivery in April shed Rs 2.80, or 0.40 per cent, to Rs 701.40 per quintal in 25 lots.
Market analysts said adequate stocks following fresh arrivals from producing belts against sluggish demand mainly kept pressure on potato futures.
