PM candidate should be from bigger party: Nitish
Refraining from predicting Gujarat election results, the Bigar Chief Minister said the high voter turnout was a happy sign for democracy and showcased people’s increasing interest in the electoral process.
Speaking at a post-janta darbar press conference, Nitish reacted to BJP national spokesperson’s statement that NDA PM candidate would come from the BJP.
“There is no surprise element in what Ravishankar Prasad said. I have always said the same.”
Nitish said that he’s fighting to get special category status for the state. “My focus is on Bihar.
I have not said or done anything that suggests otherwise,” he said.
Nitish had put pressure on the BJP by saying in June that the NDA’s PM candidate should have a “clear and secular” image.
