SummaryThe new Bill provides for sweeping changes in the way companies operate and are regulated.

Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Sachin Pilot is among the younger and more dynamic faces in the union cabinet. He has been the key driving force behind the much-debated Companies Act 2013, which has replaced the nearly six-decade old legislation that governs corporates in the country. The new Bill provides for sweeping changes in the way companies operate and are regulated.

Pilot will interact with a select audience at the latest edition of Express Adda in Mumbai on Tuesday. A series of interactions with people at the centre of change, Adda has earlier featured World Chess champion Viswanathan Anand, Financial Times commentator Martin Wolf and actor Aamir Khan, among others. Pilot will be in conversation with The Indian Express Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta.

Amid the who’s who of the commercial capital of the country, Pilot can be expected to share his views on the new legislation and other issues confronting India’s corporate sector.
