Photography lovers head for Nikon at Photofair 2009

New Delhi: Nikon India, the 100% subsidiary of the imaging industry leader - Nikon Corporation, is all set to delight photography enthusiasts by showcasing its latest innovations as well as special promotions and activities at Photofair 2009, beginning January 8 to January 11 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Hidehiko Tanaka, Managing Director, Nikon India said, “2009 is the second year for Nikon as a major exhibitor at Photofair and for us it is always an honour to be part of this grand show. Nikon as a corporation has always worked towards promoting photography culture all across the globe and India is a very important market. We believe that events such as Photofair go a long way in creating platforms for people from all sections of the society to gain information and knowledge on what’s available and thus help develop and enhance their interests in photography.”

At Photofair 2009, Nikon will display its latest flagship professional camera – the D3X. This camera is sure to become the talk of the town as it is another big leap in the field of Digital photography from Nikon. At the exhibition an exclusive D3X Zone has been created wherein visitors will be given a live demonstration of this larger than life product from Nikon’s portfolio.

The photography extravaganza will also see Nikon put up a Free service camp where visitor’s cameras will be serviced free of cost. It will be a dual benefit for visitors to experience the expertise of Nikon in Digital photography while getting his/her product serviced.

The D90, the world‘s first professional camera to provide D-Movie mode in a DSLR will be another major attraction for visitors at Photofair. To accentuate the unique features of this product Nikon has created a zone focusing on wedding photography. In this zone wedding photographers would be invited to get hands on experience of shooting models in ethic Hindu Bride and Groom with the D90 which is powered by the most effective photo-editing software Nikon’s Capture NX.

At this exhibition, Nikon is also showcasing the power of Telephoto and PC-E Micro Nikkor lenses/lens in photography. Specific areas have been dedicated to these two kinds of Nikkor lenses/lens where props and models are placed for consumers to get a feel various angles and zooms.
