Acting on a petition alleging Member Parliament (MP) Faridabad Avtar Singh Bhadana, state Revenue Minister Shiv Charan Sharma, Chief Parliament Secretary (CPS) Sharda Rathore and others of encroaching upon Faridabad Municipal Corporation land, the Punjab and Haryana High Court issued notice of motion to the Haryana government and others.

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri and Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain while hearing the petition, filed by Vandna Kalra of Faridabad, issued notice of motion for February 13.

The petitioner apprised the court that Bhadana has encroached upon more than 1.25 acres of prime land in the heart of the city and the value of said land would be more than Rs 12 to 15 crore.

The revenue minister has encroached over Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) land in Sector 48, Faridabad and has illegally constructed about 50 shops on the said land, she alleged.

The court was also informed that CPS Rathore has grabbed the MC land along a drain on Sohna road, Baliabhgarh.

It was further submitted that Vasudev Saluja who is also an influential politician of the ruling party has encroached over the proposed green belt of MC land near Neelam flyover and railway line by raising a ‘car yard’.

All Congress politicians in Faridabad are the same. The Salujas , A S Bhadana, - they are also notorious musclemen.... I wonder why does the grand old party continue to patronise them ?
