Peas prices weaken in thin trade

In thin trading, peas prices fell by Rs 25 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today on subdued demand against sufficient supplies.

Marketmen said, subdued demand from retailers against sufficient supplies mainly led to decline in peas prices.

In the national capital, peas white and green declined by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,650-2,675 and Rs 2,750-2,850 per quintal respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates per quintal: Urad 3,400-4,000, Urad Chilka (local) 4,380-4,730, best 4,800-5,300, Dhoya 5,200-5,300, Moong 5,100-5,700, Dal Moong Chilka local 5,650-6,050, Moong Dhoya local 6,100-6,200 and best quality 6,800-6,900.

Masoor small 3,600-3,800, bold 3,750-3,950, Dal Masoor local 4,300-4,400, best quality 4,400-4,500, Malka local 4,000-4,100, best 4,200-4,300, Moth 3,600-4,200, Arhar 3,850-4,050, Dal Arhar Dara 5,450-5,650.

Gram 3,650-4,500, Gram Dal (local) 4,550-4,650, best quality 4,850-4,950, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,870, Rajdhani 1,870, Rajmah Chitra 6,900-7,700, Kabli Gram small 4,000-6,500, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100; Lobia 3,300-4,400, Peas white 2,650-2,675 and green 2,750-2,850.
