Peas eases on adequate supply

Peas prices eased by Rs 25 quintal on the wholesale pulses market today owing to slackened demand against adequate supplies.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position against subdued demand mainly led to decline in peas prices.

In the national capital, peas white and green eased by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,725-2,750 and Rs 2,825-2,925 per quintal respectively.

The following are today's pulses rates per quintal:

Urad 3,280-3,850, Urad Chilka (local) 4,180-4,530, best 4,600-5,100, Dhoya 5,000-5,100, Moong 5,050-5,600, Dal Moong Chilka local 5,630-6,030, Moong Dhoya local 6,080-6,180 and best quality 6,800-6,900.

Masoor small 3,500-3,700, bold 3,650-3,850, Dal Masoor local 4,200-4,300, best quality 4,300-4,400, Malka local 3,900-4,000, best quality 4,100-4,200, Moth 4,000-4,300, Arhar 3,850-4,050, Dal Arhar Dara 5,450-5,650.

Gram 4,000-4,700, Gram Dal (local) 4,800-4,900, best quality 5,100-5,200, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,910, Rajdhani 1,910, Rajmah Chitra 6,900-8,700, Kabli Gram small 4,000-6,500, Dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100; Lobia 3,500-4,600, Peas white 2,725-2,750 and green 2,825-2,925.
