PCMC to allow 2.5 FSI for MHADA colony residents
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, the civic chief said the proposal of approving 2.5 FSI is pending with MHADA. “I will discuss the issue of allowing 2.5 FSI to residents with the officials. My effort will be to get the sanction as early as possible. Once MHADA gives its nod, PCMC will have no problem in allowing 2.5 FSI to residents.
Pardeshi also called upon residents to take up rain water harvesting in a big way. “If you see the condition of other areas in the state, they are struggling to get even a bucket of water. In some parts of the state, citizens get water after eight days. We in Pimpri-Chinchwad are in far better situation but there is need for residents to take up rain water harvesting in a big way,” he said.
The commissioner also said garbage management was the need of the hour to keep the town clean and disease free. “The cooperative housing societies like the ones in MHADA should come forward and ensure a garbage-free city,” he said.
Babu Nair, president of the Sant Dnyaneshwar Cooperative Housing Society Federation Ltd, said the decision to allow 2.5 FSI will not only benefit over a 1,000 flat owners in Morwadi but also other residents in Pimpri-Chinchwad.
