The voice behind Bollywood chart-busters such as Guzaarish from Ghajini and Jashn-e-bahara from Jodha Akbar — Javed Ali — will perform live in the city on January 20. The concert has been organised to raise funds for the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center, an after-care centre for the defence personnel who retire from services due to injury of the spinal cord. The concert will start at 7pm at the Trinity College in Kondhwa. Tickets for the show are available at Amanora Park and will also be on offer at the venue.

Art from Odisha

Odissha Handloom and Handicraft Festival is on till 27 at Tilak Smarak Mandir and will showcase the works of National Award-winning artists from all over the country. Patachitra, a style of painting made from chalk and tamarind, and inspired from the scenes of the Mahabharata and Ramayana, will be on display, besides wood carvings on decorative utilitarian objects. Dhoka, which is Odisha’s antique-looking metal ware, and internationally-acclaimed silver filigree work on jewellery will also be exhibited. The exhibition is open from 10am to 9pm.

Hit film Pyaar ka Punchnama’s team will be seen together for the second time in AkaashVani, releasing on January 25.
